Reason why we men should take girls as a gift from God

Sometimes i used to sit down with my head faced up thinking about some nonsensical ways in which we guys behaves, in as much as i will say girls are really wicked but i still believe that there are the good once inside them as much as i can also say that u can never see anyone that is 100% complete.
Anyway, Am not here to talk about the girls, my write up today is directing to the devilish behaviour of some of we guys the boys/men to be precised!, this has just being a historical part of us that u can nearly see a guy dating more than one girl, that is a tradition guiding some of the guys, we thinks that dating more than one girl makes us the greatest or should i say the 'best"?, Gosh!, cut the clap!, let me tell u what it makes u look like, it makes you look like one of the most stupid imbecile in this planet earth! it makes you look like one old foolish baboons and monkeys out there!, it makes your mind unsettle, it makes you feel like you are really a cheat!.... most of we guys don't actually reason well, we think very stupid which makes us look pathetic.
Now, lets go from this angle. some of we guys after many days, weeks, months or should i even say years of fronting a girl, she letter say those simple but powerful 3 letter 'YES' to you and you will now feel like you have got it all. let me ask us this question, do u know what the girl passed through just to give you that 'YES' as your ans?, do u really know what she sees in you to make her believe you?, can you remember the first day you meet her how she neglected you and bullshit you?, how you felt like one lunatic like dat?, can you actually remember how you keep dreaming about this so called girl?, can you really remember how you gathered the courage to speak up and tell her how you feels about her? then after all this set and down you start playing with her all because you now have her by your side. ok, after u must have asked you self all this question, i surely believe your answers are now hunting you, you feel guilty right?, thats the truth and nothing but the truth!!!,
it might interest you to know that must guys fail to be successful because of girl, it might actually be because of a girl you left heart broken some years ago, maybe she might have laid a curse on you that you will never prosper, you will always say that your enemies are at work or should i say that "them don follow you all the way from you village come township". that is bullshit!, let me tell u, if a girl ever lay a curse on you without any guilty mind believe me, go to the highest mountains for 100 days and pray, or go to the the most powerful pastors or prophets non of them can deliver you, all they will tell you is just to go and undo what you have done!... beg for her forgiveness and free you self, but wait!... do u think its actually easy to come into a girl's heart and live like that?, oh, you must be kidding!...
My dad always tell me this ''Sunday you don't actually know the value of what you have until u must lost it". believe me this is confirmed truth!. you don't actually know the value of a girl until she must have gone. i was kind of snuffing the web when i came across a funny post and it says "Play your girl like a ball and another guy will catch her like the goalkeeper'', and another post reads like this ''declare your girl unwanted and another guy will declare are wanted', isn't it funny?, yes it is and i believe any reasonable person understands the message it is sending across. so be wise and never make mistakes that you will regret after all.
just to tell you this ''Untill u discover something more than sex in a girl, u will never appreciate the Gift of having her by urside..
let me add this to you, you might open you mouth and say a girl is cheap, easy or she is a flirt just because she accept you, often replys you messages on facebook, your tweets, you BBM messges or texts, ok log in into her account and see how many guys she has declined, those begging her fo just hi,those she stall their tweets, hundreds of pending messages just to be with you!, men, its high time we guys treat girls with the care they deserve, show them how precious and how we value them!...
i believe with my little write up i am able to talk in some sense to some of us guys here,... Please ignore my use of English and grammars, the truth is i no too sabi english, i be confirm igbo boy, na try i de try to speak english.
happy sunday and thanks for your time.

Interesting!! If Your Wife Did This To You, What Would You DO

Hi Guys,
Read this Post below and drop your comment.
Robbers enter a house, asks for all the money and valuables. After they collect what they can, they give the man of the house a gun with instructions to shoot his wife or else he be shot himself.
The man gets the gun, points it at his wife and hesitates. He is thinking of what he has gone through in life with his wife and how she has suffered and sacrificed for him. He hands back the gun and says, “I am sorry I can’t do this…
“The boss of the robbers silently grabs the gun from him and passes it on to the wife with the same instruction. The wife gets the gun and without any single hesitation points to her husband’s head and pulls the trigger. But alas, the gun had no bullets in it. The robbers get their gun and walk out of the house laughing.
QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION
1. If you were the man in that house how would you react towards your wife?
2. If you were the wife, what explanation can you give to your husband!
3. If you were invited to bring peace between this couples, what advice would you give?
Drop your Comments, This will sure be an Interesting post.

On the Taraba tribunal judgement

THE judgement of the Elections Petitions Tribunal in Abuja declared the All Progressives Congress (APC’s) Aisha Jummai Alhassan as the duly elected governor of Taraba State and ordered the sitting Governor, PDP’s Darius Ishaku, to vacate office on the grounds that he did not emerge the candidate of the PDP in a properly conducted primary election.
The reasons the Justice Mustapha Danladi Abubakar Panel adduced for its ruling are worrisome. To all patriotic Nigerians conversant with the governorship elections which led to Ishaku’s emergence as the elected Governor of Taraba State, there are glaring holes in the tribunal’s judgement. Firstly, the candidacy of the governor as flag-bearer of the PDP in the election was a pre-election matter that was clearly outside the mandate and purview of the Elections Petitions Tribunal.
However, the panel decided to ignore the validity of Ishaku’s nomination as the PDP candidate, and assumed jurisdiction on the matter. And this was despite the fact that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recognised him as the candidate of the PDP in the elections without any issues, published his name as candidate without any reservations, and went ahead to announce him as the winner of the election while also issuing him the Certificate of Return.
The tribunal’s ruling is all the more absurd when no one in the PDP went to court to challenge Ishaku’s emergence as the PDP flag-bearer to contest the April 11 elections or faulted his eventual election as Governor.
Secondly, the tribunal rejected the explanations of the PDP and its legal team that the governorship primary could not hold in Taraba as a result of security concerns in the state at the period. This was despite the fact that the tribunal itself chose to sit in Abuja because of security concerns in Taraba. Yet, it mentioned this as one of the grounds for which it based its shocking ruling. Now, if the Tribunal could not sit in Jalingo, the state capital, as a result of the same reason of security, what was wrong with the PDP’s decision to hold its governorship primary in Abuja with party chiefs and all relevant stakeholders in attendance even as the primary was open to the world and was covered by the media?
Thirdly, since it was clear that the Boko Haram insurgency was still on at the period, and the tribunal was very well aware of the prevailing circumstances in the country at the time, especially in the North East and North West geopolitical zones of the country, why does it expect elections to hold in all parts of the state on election day?
Fourthly, and which is most baffling, is the tribunal’s express nullification of the APC’s claims that the governorship election in Taraba State was fraught with malpractices and over-voting yet it went ahead to nullify Ishaku’s election as the duly-elected Governor of Taraba State. On the basis of free and fair elections which remain fundamental bedrocks of sustainable democracy, Governor Ishaku won the election fair and square. So, why on earth would the tribunal go ahead to annul his election on grounds of his candidature? The judgement is curious and confounding.
How does the emergence of a party’s candidate, which is the clear internal business of the party and a pre-election matter, concern the APC and the election tribunal? It just appears the APC seems so power-hungry and desperate to do just about anything to achieve its agenda of a one-party state. Nigerians should not allow themselves to be deceived by politicians who chant change with their mouths in public but do things to the contrary in their closets while away from the prying eyes of the public.
Now, while having a female governor is laudable in itself, is it appropriate for it to be done through the back door? Is it right for the tribunal to rule that a woman that the majority of the people of Taraba did not elect must govern them? She can yet become the Governor of the state in future; but she would need to prepare herself more and earn the valid votes of the good people of Taraba State.
It is Ishaku that Tarabans have duly elected as their Governor to spearhead the task of moving the state forward. Citizens of the state believe in his vision and want him to deliver all of his campaign promises to transform Taraba. Nothing must be allowed to derail this mission. The wishes of the people must prevail.
Part of the legacies of the PDP government of the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan to Nigeria is free and fair elections.
Nigerians must never allow this legacy to be rubbished. Nigerians must not allow their rights and liberty to freely choose those who will lead and govern them to be taken away by a party that wants to have things its own way or no other way. I believe if President Muhammadu Buhari truly wants to succeed in his war against corruption, he needs to commence from tribunal judges.
That is why the people of Taraba State and all Nigerians who believe in credible elections and justice are eagerly looking forward to the hearing of the case at the Appeal Court. The tribunal’s judgement deserves being overruled by the Appeal Court. Anything otherwise would be a travesty of justice.

No intimidation will stop the alleged TSA fraud, Saraki vows

The President of the Senate, Sen. Bukola Saraki, has said that no amount of intimidation will stop the assembly from investigating the alleged N25 billion Treasury Single Account (TSA) fraud.
Saraki was reacting to a motion moved by Sen. Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi West) on Tuesday over a newspaper article allegedly blackmailing the Senate for pointing out the alleged fraud.
He said the assembly would not relent in carrying out its constitutional duties, including pointing out any action that would be detrimental to Nigerians.
“No amount of either blackmail or intimidation will stop us from doing the work we have to do.
“We have a responsibility here to ensure that there are no leakages in government funds and if there are, we will call the attention of the public and do whatever it takes to salvage the situation; it is our responsibility.
“ The fact about the TSA will come out and everybody will have opportunity before the committee to state the fact, the facts will speak for themselves,’’ he said.
Saraki said the assembly would expedite action on the inauguration of Standing Committees to enable it to begin its oversight function fully.
Earlier, Melaye said his attention was drawn to the write-up accusing the Senate of working against President Muhammadu Buhari’s effort to implement TSA.
He expressed concern that the writer could conceive such an idea in spite of the National Assembly’s resolve to work with Buhari in fighting corruption.
Melaye recalled that it was the assembly’s stand on the alleged TSA fraud that led SystemSpecs to refund the one per cent it collected from mopped up funds to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
“The writer said we are against the change agenda of Mr President because we raised the abnormality going on with the implementation of the TSA.
“We did not at any time in this Hallowed Chamber implicate President Muhammadu Buhari of being involved in TSA fraud.
“ We will not stop carrying out our legislative duties for fear of being blackmailed.
“The motion moved last week had two prayers.
“The first thing we did was to thank Mr President and commend him for the implementation of the TSA and for anyone to say the Senate is fighting Mr President is myopic, parochial and unacceptable.
“I have a letter here that I am going to lay with this paper, written by the Director, Banking and Payment of CBN to the Managing Director of SystemSpecs.
“The CBN categorically stated that they should remit the one per cent that they collected.
“I also have a letter here by the managing director of that company to the Accountant General of the Federation and the Governor of CBN that have completely buttressed and elicited our decision last week.
“ So for people to blackmail us as irresponsible, it is not acceptable to me and the Senate.
“Never would we allow blackmail and political and economic bigots to destroy the people. We are for the people and we will stand in defence of public interest,’’ he said.
The write-up and letters cited by Melaye were referred to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petition to be returned to Senate in one week.
The Senate had on Nov. 11 raised alarm over alleged payment of N25 billion to one e-collection firm, REMITA, in one day as one per cent of monies transferred to TSA.
It also directed its Committee on Finance, Banking and other Financial Institutions and Public Accounts to carry out a holistic investigation into the matter and report back in two weeks.

Shaken German team spent night in Paris stadium after attacks

Germany’s football team spent the night at the Stade de France in north Paris after a friendly match against France rather than take the risk of driving through the French capital to their hotel following the attacks that left more than 120 people dead.
“The players were very worried, the information was not very clear and we didn’t want to take any risk on the road, so we decided not to drive through Paris …. (which was) not 100 percent secured and so we stayed in the dressing room,” said Germany manager Oliver Bierhoff.
The attacks at several locations in Paris had erupted in the middle of Germany’s away match against France at the Stade de France, with three loud explosions heard from outside the stadium in the first half.
It later emerged that one of the explosions was near to a McDonald’s restaurant on the fringes of the restaurant, caused by a suicide bomber.
Coach Joachim Loew said those on the bench had wondered about the explosions as the team had already had to move hotels earlier in the day due to a bomb threat.
But it was only when the team was back in the dressing room that they learnt of the full scale of the attacks, with players receiving text messages from worried family and friends, Bierhoff said.
Nevertheless, the players “behaved like real professionals”, said the manager.
After a night in the dressing room, they were taken in small nondescript mini-buses to the airport in the early morning.
– ‘Nightmare for us’ –
“We are of course happy that we have landed safely, but our thoughts are with the relatives and the victims,” said Bierhoff, speaking after the team landed in Frankfurt early Saturday.
“The team is very affected, and therefore we decided to give them a day off today, for them to go home… and be with their loved ones,” he said.
Asked if the team would be ready to play their next fixture against the Dutch on Tuesday, Bierhoff said: “The game stands but we will of course discuss it internally.”
In a statement on the website of the Germany Football Federation, Die Mannschaft expressed their deep shock at the attacks.
“We came to Paris to do what connects us all. To play football together, against each other as friends. And to experience a nice evening with our fans,” they wrote.
“We had looked forward to the game at the Stade de France, which ended for us in a nightmare.
“What the images show will stay with us for a long time. We thought a lot about it overnight in the stadium. We asked ourselves, how could something like that have happened? How can such inhumanity be possible?”
“We found a lot of answers, but none that can explain these cowardly attacks,” they wrote.

Refugee boy drowns near Greek island after boat engine explodes: coastguard

A three-year-old refugee boy drowned early Saturday near the Greek island of Chios after the engine of the boat his group was sailing in exploded, the Greek coastguard said.
The explosion threw the boat occupants into the water as it lay immobilised in shallows east of the island, the coastguard said.
Fifteen other people were rescued, including two that required hospitalisation, it said.
An 18-year-old was arrested as a suspected trafficker.
Greece has been overwhelmed this year by a migration crisis unseen in Europe since World War II.
The United Nations on Friday said over 800,000 people have crossed the Mediterranean to Europe this year, with over 3,400 dying in the process.
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will travel to Turkey next week to press the country’s leaders to take a stronger stance against refugee traffickers.

The Hip, The Art… The Beats Of Nigeria

How MTN Music+ is Giving Budding Artiste A Platform To Shine
ON a Friday night at the Mirage Hotel, Calabar, Cross River State, the air reverberated with beats. The rhythm flowed as high-flyers unwound after a hard day’s job. The environment is raucous, but not riotous. Thank God it’s Friday (TGIF), and the crowd in the club, by now, several pints in, roared approval to the song playing. No one will spare any superlative inside the club, as some very pretty girls danced to Olamide’s Story for the gods.
Every young guy in the club focused on the sensuous body movement of a 27-year-old girl, who is clad in a see through bustier and micro mini skirt. Their eyes zoomed in on the cleavages, tweaking buttocks and gyrating hips. She was one girl everybody wanted to hang out with. Not only because of her beauty, but dancing skill.
After a few drinks, the girl, who gave her name as Jennifer, and resident in Bayside area of Calabar, breathed, “I need more adrenaline pumping music. Give me Melo Melo.”
This scene, no doubt, is a recurring sight in many clubs, lounges and sit-outs in the country. Indeed, the Nigerian music industry has exploded. The hyper activity on the scene has, no doubt, upstaged the days when local TV and radio stations fed the public with foreign songs, most especially, from the US.
The last few years, however, has witnessed an upsurge in nightlife activities, which went under during Abacha’s era. With democracy, nightlife crawled back in popular fashion. A lot of sit-outs and hangouts sprang up over the country where people relax and catch fun, especially, at weekends.
In some cities, Friday nights are holy time to converge for TGIF’s communion. In Abeokuta, the Moshood Abiola Stadium is where to go, and in Port Harcourt, everybody turns to D-Line, Stadium Road and Casablanca, while in Calabar, 11-11 and Bayside are holy ground for fun and excitements. Lagos has so many of them in the Island and Mainland. Kaduna has Obalende and in Jos, everybody throng Old Airport Road junction.
At these sit-outs, clubs and lounges, The Guardian gathered that the partying is not affair for a group of friends and their ladies, but a mass thing. The people dance to up-tempo beats, which do nothing other than complement the alcohol.
Without rocking up-tempo songs, no artiste attains fame. Among those who have made this trend possible are, artistes from the Kenny’s Music, Don Jazzy clans and others, who by the side, had begun to record one track or the other that are party songs.
… And The Beat Goes On
THERE has never been a time in the country’s music history when Nigerian artistes have been more creative than now. Though, the lyrics of their songs are often lurid and vulgar in nature, they are, however, a signature of revolution, which started in 1981, when a protesting on-air personality decided that it was time to end the growing influence of disco music that was spearheaded by America.
With release of his, The Way I Feel Rap, Ron Ekundayo became the pathfinder of rap music in the country. Dizzy K. Falola, Rap master LexyMella, Dili I. Jukson, and I.C. Rock were equally popular artistes of this emerging genre.
Between 1981 and 1986, rap was a serious genre in the country. During this period, Nigeria was going through its most serious economic crisis. There had been massive job losses arising from drop in oil revenues and the economy had been in steady decline since the end of the second civilian republic in 1983.
The Structural Adjustment Programmes (SAPs) were equally being implemented. Both the rich elite and the poor alike felt the effect of these policies. However, the reign of rap did not last long for it to be considered a serious genre for study, as a lexicon in Nigeria’s musical taxonomy. And this is because of what somebody described as the music’s “vague expressions and mindless chants poorly adapted from America.”
Long Live Reggae
WITH the emergence of Ja’ Stix or Jah Walking Stick, the domineering influence of disco rap ended, and reggae began its own reign. In fact, at a point, Ja’ Stix became the reference point in terms of reggae music in Nigeria. Every artiste that made it big in the genre in that era passed through the Ja’ Stix School – Majek Fashek, Terra Cotta, Ras Kimono, Mandators and Evi Edna Ogholi. There were equally Orits Wiliki, ‘the Coolman revolutionaire’ and some others in the long chain of protesting reggae artistes.
Welcome Ijo Shina
HOWEVER, between 1989 and 1992, the Nigerian music industry began to go through another transformation. First, it started with Shinamania craze, heralded by Shina Peters’ monster hit, Ace, and then Adewale Ayuba’s Bubble. Everybody in Nigeria was looking for the ‘ace or another Mister Johnson’ in shows and functions.
The era was significant because it marked the coming of new consumers of music — higher institutions of learning. Universities, polytechnics and colleges of education all struggled to have the faces behind these hits at their union week.
This was the era of advanced fee fraud and there was free money in the air, especially from foreign exchange deals, real estate, fraud and narcotics. The emerging nouveau riche or the young upward/mobile professionals (yuppies and yummies) were the major connoisseurs of this new taste.
Emphasis of the song and the ones that followed was lyrics in pidgin, a true lingo of the streets in Nigeria. Junior and Pretty and the ghetto soldiers of Ajegunle holistically followed the genre.
Nigerian music is the most dominant in Africa. The industry reportedly produces over 600 albums of different kinds yearly, with record sales tripling in the last five years. It is projected that the country’s entertainment industry would hit one billion dollars by 2016. There was a period when the industry was manually driven, a period of struggle for recognition, and seeking limelight. It was a time when musicians largely relied on manual distribution of music.
The advent of the Internet, however, has changed the story, bringing digital music distribution with it. With digital music services, now, all an artiste simply needs is, to identify the right digital music distribution platform and upload their songs for exposure. Indeed, in the world over, there has been a shift from CDs to music downloads.
According to IFPI, a not for profit music research organization, digital music sales globally reportedly reached $10.6 billion in 2010 and it is projected to increase to $24.8 billion in 2016, a yearly increase of 18.2 per cent.
Beyond the Internet, one critical factor has impacted immensely in the success story of the Nigerian music industry— telecoms operators. To lay a hold on substantial market share, telecoms firms scramble for association with artistes, who have set themselves apart due to their commendable efforts.
This symbiotic relationship has significantly raised the bar for artistes in terms of endorsements and sponsorship deals that have transformed their lives.
Sam Onyemelukwe, managing director at TRACE TV, captures the impact succinctly: “telecoms operators have been critical to the growth story. With their interception, now, you have artistes that won’t lift a finger without getting proper pay. That’s just the tip of the iceberg; the growth has gone well beyond that to opportunities in digital media to exploiting their music, their videos and their content. This is where they can derive value.”
At the heart of this success story is the country’s leading ICT firm, MTN Nigeria. From exciting initiatives spanning endorsement deals, corporate sponsorships, and more recently, foray into digital music distribution; the telecoms giant has redefined the game.
The outfit introduced its Music Plus App in 2014, successfully changing the face of music sharing in Nigeria. The App is a converged Music streaming and download platform, optimised for mobile and online access and is socially enabled to accommodate cross-user activity.
In only one year, the App has become Nigeria’s largest digital music distribution service and one with immediate impact. The App gives robust exposure to artistes enrolled on it and they get paid for having their songs on the platform. In the last eight months alone, over N500 million has been paid to artistes, who have their songs on the platform.
Seeing the success of the platform in its one year of existence, the company decided to take it a step further, by introducing the Next Rated app to Music+. The MTN Music+ Next Rated was specially designed to support upcoming acts in the music industry by giving them a platform to build a fan base and gain exposure.
To drive the campaign, a special activation that saw some the brand storming some major tertiary institutions across the country, was introduced.
To participate in the campaign, upcoming acts are required to upload their songs onto the Music+ platform via the Next Rated section and get friends and family to like the song.
The song with the highest Likes each week enjoys airtime on MTN partner radio stations. At the end of the campaign in December, 10 entries with the highest Likes will be selected and judged by a five-man panel of MTN ambassadors, who would select the best five songs of the lot. The top five songs will be uploaded again for Likes over a one-week period where a final winner will emerge.
Kicking off at the University of Ibadan with hip-hop act, Dr Sid, the campaign touched down at the University of Calabar, and had Kcee as the star, before moving to Jos with Praiz. University of Uyo had Harrysong, alongside latest MTN Project Fame winner, Jeffrey Akoh, as guests and finally in Lagos where friend of MTN, Jaywon headlined the launch at the popular Industry Nite.
The launch events were a deviation from the norm. Instead of the usual concert, there were no-holds-barred sessions where the students had opportunity of interacting with the stars up, close and personal. They had the chance to pose bugging questions to the music stars.
Beyond the interesting question and answer sessions, it was also an avenue for raw talents to be discovered in music and the entertainment industry at large. In Calabar, Mary Jane, aka Janey Prest, won Kcee’s admiration with her reggae freestyle. Kcee, in fact, promptly offered her a chance to be part of his music group.
The same feat was repeated in Uyo with Harrysong. After wowing the Reggae Blues crooner with his dancing skills, Sam Pat, a 200 level Linguistics student, got an invitation to showcase his skills in Harrysong’s upcoming music video.
The telecom’s company equally rewarded the students and guests at the various venues with gift items. Smartphones, cash gifts, airtimes and other souvenirs were carted away by lucky winners.
Speaking on the campaign, Consumer Marketing Manager, MTN, Richard Iweanoge, said the telecoms firm saw the opportunities inherent in the digital music service in Nigeria, and decided to fill need with the Music Plus App and Next Rated campaign.
“The Nigerian music ecosystem has evolved and aligned itself with global trends. Having seen the development, MTN decided to introduce the Music Plus App to serve the digital music needs of the people. And to even further develop budding talent, the Next Rated campaign has been designed. There are immense benefits available to fledgling artistes who participate in the campaign,” he said.
Iweanoge further informed that upcoming acts can participate in the campaign by uploading their song the Music+ platform via the Next Rated section; get friends and family to like the song.
For upcoming artistes and even music enthusiasts, the future of music in Nigeria are just getting better with initiatives such as the Music Plus Next Rated. The abundance of budding music talents in Nigeria cannot be disputed. However, this type of platform is the much-needed incentive to grow such into global recognition.

Special Xmas Groove With Mavins

For fans of Don Jazzy and his Mavins, this is an exciting time, as the record company has partnered Access Bank for a live music concert in Lagos this Xmas tagged Access Mavin Concert. The gig will parade the entire Mavin Records lineup on one stage for several hours of performances. From Dr. Sid to Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello, Di’ja, Reekado Banks, D’Prince, Don Jazzy… it’s going to be an interesting evening.
Billed for Wednesday, December 23, at the Eko Atlantic, with tickets pegged N499 per person, this will be the first time the record company would be staging a live music concert since it’s three years of existence as a leading music house in the country. For Don Jazzy and his ‘gang’, it’s an opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to fans, who have supported the brand over the years.
Speaking at a press conference held recently in Lagos to herald the concert, Mavins boss Don Jazzy stated that the Access Mavin Concert is a special ‘Thank You’ event in recognition of the support from their fans, who will only have to pay a fraction of typical gate fees to get in.
“We are very excited to be able to put this together this year after three years of steady progress as individuals and as a label. Despite many odds, we have been able to get to this point and do so many unprecedented things in the Nigerian music industry. I am particularly pleased that Access Bank wants to share in this success story and contribute to it and I am sure that the fans will love what we have in store for them on the night.”
Though a Mavin Record’s gig, there are indications that a few other notable Nigerian artiste are likely coming on stage.
“For now, it’s all about Mavins, but at the right time, we will confirm other artistes on the bill. Of course, some of our friends in the industry are interested in performing that day, but that’s information for another day,” Don Jazzy said.
Giving his own thoughts on the event, Mavin Records artiste Dr. Sid said recently, “Our fans have always been here for us through thick and thin. Without them, there will be no Mavin Record Label or Don Jazzy or Dr. Sid. What could be a better way to appreciate their loyalty over the years than this?”

Born To Be A Solution 2

“Don’t find fault, find remedy.’’ –Henry Ford
Albert Einstein once said, ‘’it is not that I am so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.’’ Life is full of people that made impact by solving problems: Alexander Graham was the solution to communication barrier, he invented the telephone; Alexander Fleming was the solution to the raging pang of pneumonia, he invented penicillin; the Wright brothers were the solution to air travelling, they invented the airplane; Thomas Edison was the solution to physical darkness, he invented the light bulb. In solving the problem of physical darkness, it was once said; ‘’God said let there be light and there was Thomas Edison!’’; Nelson Mandela was the solution to apartheid in South Africa; Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. were the solution to racism in America; Mahatma Gandhi was the key to Indian freedom; Fela Kuti’s mother, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti was a solution to women’s suffrage in Nigeria. There was a time when women were not allowed to drive, vote or even bail any member of their family in Nigeria, but a woman stood against what she knew was wrong. We are all ‘solutions’ in God’s mind.

William Henry “Bill” Gates III is an American business magnate, investor, computer programmer, inventor and philanthropist. Gates is the former CEO and chairman of Microsoft, the world’s largest personal-computer software company, which he co-founded with Paul Allen. He began to show interest in computer programming at the age of 13 at Lakeside school where he met his life-long friend and business partner, Paul Allen and the pair bonded through their common enthusiasm over computers. In 1970, at the age of 15, Bill Gates went into business with Paul; they developed “Traf-O-Data”, a computer program that provided a solution to monitor traffic patterns in Seattle which netted $20,000 for their efforts.
Gates enrolled at Harvard University but spent a lot of time using the school’s computer. In his sophomore year, Gates devised an algorithm for pancake sorting as a solution to one of a series of unsolved problems. He dropped out of Harvard after two years of being there, talking this decision over with his parents who supported him seeing his passion. In 1975, Gates and Allen formed a partnership they called micro-soft, a blend of “micro-computers” and “software” and started off on a shaky footing. Gates and Allen’s Microsoft BASIC was the key to Microsoft’s initial success and a solution to the world’s short-sightedness on the use of computers. In 1978, Microsoft headquarters moved to Washington, 23 years old Gates who was the head of the company had only 25 employees and Microsoft grossed $2.5million that year.
After working with IBM, Microsoft began experiencing rapid growth as they solved more problems. On November 10, 1983, Microsoft formally announced Microsoft windows with a graphical user interface and a multi-tasking environment for IBM users. Microsoft solved a major problem by making its software multi-tasking; people could do several things simultaneously which prevented time wastage. In 1990, Microsoft released windows 3.0 which gained strong third-party support and sold three-million copies in the first year alone. Over the years, Windows has been updated and improved greatly solving more problems each time it is updated.
In February 2014, Gates announced that he would be stepping down as the Chairman of Microsoft to move into the new position as technology adviser. Bill Gates indeed changed the world by advancing software technology and making software products user friendly. Bill Gates, who remained the world’s wealthiest man for several years is a philanthropist committed to giving 95% of his fortune to charity. It is not unusual that the man noted for solving most of the software problems in the world eventually became the richest. Money has a path; it will always flow to the direction where problems are solved. The world of today is more effective just by looking through Bill Gates’ windows!
‘’No problem can stand the assault of sustained thinking.’’-Voltaire
Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa said, ‘’every morning when I wake up, I make up my mind to solve as many problems, before returning home.’’ Dangote was passionate about solving problems and undoubtedly became the richest in Africa. Aliko Dangote, MFR, GCON, is a Nigerian business magnate with an estimated net worth of $18.6 billion USD as of June 2015. He was born in Kano on 10 April 1957 and was named ‘Aliko’ by his grandfather, Sanusi Dantata which means ‘the victorious one who defends humanity’. The late Alhaji Sanusi Alhassan Dantata provided him with the capital to start his own business, as was the practice then. He thus started business in Kano in 1977 trading in commodities and also building supplies. As a young teenager growing up, Aliko Dangote has always committed himself to doing business, selling packs of sweets in his secondary school days. He has a degree in Business from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, one of the oldest universities on earth. Aliko Dangote is a major employer of labour in Nigeria and among the top employers in West Africa, with a total workforce of about 11,000 workers. In Nigeria today, Dangote group with its dominance in the sugar market and refinery business is the main supplier (70% of the market) to the country’s soft drinks companies, breweries and confectioners. It is the largest refinery in Africa and the third largest in the world, producing 800,000 tonnes of sugar annually.
The real genius of Dangote is his ability to transform challenges into opportunities and opportunities into wealth. When other entrepreneurs termed the Nigerian environment unfavourable and uneconomical, Dangote surmounted the hurdle to open economical doors where hitherto there were walls. A man that met the need of a nation by revolutionizing the cement industry. In an era where there was a “mad rush” for embarking on construction of vast housing projects by governments and individuals, Dangote was able to decipher emerging industries based on people’s need. While people from all over the world were in Nigeria revelling in the gluttony and indulgence heralded by FESTAC 77, the young Dangote saw the opportunity to advance his business because of the massive construction going on in various parts of the country.
Though the Dangote Group was established as a small trading firm in 1977, today, it is a multi-trillion naira conglomerate with many of its operation in Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa, Togo, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Zambia. Dangote Group expanded to cover textiles, food processing, cement manufacturing, real estate, haulage and freight; the Dangote Group has moved from being a trading company to being the largest industrial group in Nigeria and includes: Dangote sugar refinery, Dangote cement and Dangote flour.
Dangote Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the group where yearly he spends millions for worthy causes such as contribution to educational and healthcare institutions, sinking of boreholes and giving of scholarships. In 2014, the Nigerian government said Dangote had donated 150 million naira to halt the spread of Ebola. In recognition of Aliko Dangote’s contribution to the growth of the Nigerian economy and his philanthropy, he has been conferred with several awards including the prestigious Zik- Award for Professional Leadership (1992) and the International Awards of Sir Ahmadu Bello. He was also conferred with the National Honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) in 2000 and Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) in 2005. On 14 November 2011, Dangote was awarded Nigeria’s second highest honour, the Grand commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) by the former president, Goodluck Jonathan and also named as the Forbes Africa Person of the year 2014.
Dangote is ranked by Forbes Magazine as the 67th richest person in the world and the richest in Africa. He peaked on the list as the 23rd richest person in the world in 2014, and the richest man in Africa. Aliko Dangote was passionate about meeting the needs of a growing economy and eventually became the richest African. With his major investments and industries in Nigeria, he has saved several thousands of Nigerians from the pangs of unemployment being one of the major employers of labour. In an economy where many Nigerian find it easy to find faults and travel out; Dangote was resolute about the vast opportunities that abound in the Nigerian economy. Where many of his rich colleagues where lavishing their ‘wealth’ and ‘destiny’ in foreign lands, he alone with some resolute few stood behind to revolutionize what has now become Africa’s greatest economy. Dangote did not only believe in the Nigerian economy but also invested into it! Aliko Dangote was recently rated among the 100 most powerful people in the world by Forbes Magazine. He was listed at number 71 of a list containing Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Pope Francis and world leaders such as Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin and Angela Merkel. Apart from offering employment opportunities to elite graduates from different ethnic backgrounds, he reduces the level of crime by engaging youths who are school leavers in the area of transportation, product packaging, and security amidst others.
Steve Maraboli said, ‘’sometimes problems don’t require the solution to solve them, instead they require maturity to outgrow them.’’ The Nigerian youths should be a solution and not a problem in the contemporary Nigeria. Let us stop the ‘mad’ and ‘demented’ rush to foreign lands; let us proffer solutions to our national problems. To the Nigerian youths; I say, ‘’we are the solution that Nigeria is waiting for!’’
Gbenga Adebambo is the dean of schools at the Educational Advancement Centre (EAC), an author, youth specialist, international coach and the Editor-In-Chief of MAXIMUM IMPACT MAGAZINE. He is also the founder of the youth ministry called STOP ‘T’(Seeing Tomorrow’s Opportunities and Potentials Today), a ministry that is involved in discovering and nurturing hidden potentials in youths in order to equip them for tomorrow’s challenges, opportunities and responsibilities.
Brigadier General (rtd) Monsur Dan-Ali, the new minister of defence, revisited the President Muhammadu Buhari’s certificate scandal yesterday, November 13.
Speaking when he assumed duty at the Ministry of Defence, Abuja, Dan-Ali criticised the immediate past chief of army staff, Lt-Gen. Kenneth Minimah (rtd) and the Nigerian Army under him for not showing respect for Buhari during his WAEC certificate controversy before the 2015 general election, This Day reports.
He said: “ Where is your integrity when your own Chief of Army Staff (Minimah) stood up and said his Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces (sic) has no WAEC. How? Please let us be sincere with ourselves. Because you should have stood up and said ‘no’; because you were there, you could not. If you leave the job, is it the end of your life? If you leave the job there are other ways; better ways God can bless your life.”
During the Buhari certificate saga preceding the 2015 elections, Buhari claimed that his original WAEC certificate was with the military authorities but the military denied it.
The new defence minister described the president as man of integrity who had clearly and openly shown that he was ready to fight the insurgency in Nigeria.

Atiku Settles Saraki And Tinubu At His Daughter’s Wedding

Bukola Saraki and Bola Tinubu
The Cable reported that the duo have been strange bed fellows immediately after the party emerged victorious in the last general election that ushered in the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Their differences began after Saraki defied the leadership of the APC in his pursuit to lead the senate. Not until yesterday the duo have not been in talking terms and the last time they were seen together in public was during the buildup to the general election.
The senate president was quoted to have said: “Most Nigerians are aware that there has been no meeting or communication between me and Asiwaju Tinubu since I was elected Senate President.”
However, been guests of the ex-vice president, Saraki and Tinubu had no option than to seat close to each other at the wedding ceremony of Atiku’s three daughters in Yola on Friday.
It was also reported that the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, who like Saraki also declined to execute the directives of the party in naming the principle officers of the green chambers was also at the ceremony.
It is said that prior to now, the former Lagos state governor did not cede Saraki the opportunity to settle their differences whenever such presented itself. It was reported that the national leader last month ruled out any form of reconciliation with the two-time senator.
Tinubu in a statement was quoted to have said: “The manner by which Saraki captured his current seat travestied party discipline. It was a crass act of disloyalty showing that Saraki may have joined the APC on paper but has remained true to the malpractices and wrong aims of the reactionary PDP in his soul.”
The national leader also lambasted the senate president when he was attempting to elude trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) over false declaration of assets, saying: “Government officials are no longer believed by the citizens. When one has a public responsibility, the citizens look at it as if the source of wealth to steal and mismanage public funds and do things not included in the democratic norms and values.”
Tinubu after the Eid prayers in September told newsmen that:
“It is not what I haven’t personally experienced. I have been through it. Go through it at once and have a nation that we will all be proud of. We have to live by example and by our words. We can be talking about it alone. We have to work it without any iota of blackmail.”
Saraki on his own part had continued to insist that his trial is nothing but “witch-hunt.”

The NEW NIGERIAN NATION

Nigerians continue to get caught up in the moment without seeing the bigger picture. I have heard people say that the President really did it for Fashola by giving him three ministries to supervise even after all the backlash. I agree that the President’s intention is to give a competent Mr Fashola a great responsibility however I think the real winners in this game are two of the South Eastern Ministers even though they may not even know it.
Dr Chris Ngige is Minister of Labour and Employment. Labour belongs to the old school so nothing exciting there. However that fact that a new department of Employment has been created should really excite the Minster as it does excite me. I have advanced for the creation of a Federal Ministry of Employment for a while now and I think this President has heard our cries. It is up to Dr Chris Ngige to make it happen. The Employment portfolio is very very very important to the future of Nigeria and the stability of this Administration. So a lot lies on the shoulders of the new Minister.
Dr Ogbonnaya Onu is Minister of Science and Technology and Nigeria seems to be the only country in the entire World that does not seem to take technology seriously. It is technology not oil that has made the United States one of the richest Nations in the World today. It is technology not oil that has made India the third fastest growing economy in the World today. So there is monumental wealth that stands to be gained from Technology. If I were Dr Onu I would be excited as well as there is much to be achieved in the technology area for Nigeria. We can create new wealth far away from the rent seeking hawks who will not allow other departments and other industries to progress.

And for those of us who are yet to marry, we can state our own view and learn from the married.

Ghen Ghen!! I Caught A Guy Sniffing My Panties

In my 100L in school, I caught a guy in my lodge sniffing my panties. I promised to report him to Papa (the caretaker) but he started pleading that it was the devil’s work.
After many hours of pleading, I allowed the matter to die. Throughout the short time he stayed in the lodge, he wasn’t comfortable.
He never dared look at me in the eyes and he would always feel embarrassed when with other lodge mates and I happen to show up in their midst.
I know he would be thinking I had revealed it to some people in the hostel He didn’t stay till his rent expired; he packed out to live with a cousin of his at the other side of town.
He always avoided me on campus. I pity him sha; he was just silly
I think this act is not only disgusting but shameful! Most guys do it at the slightest opportunity they get! I don’t know what they benefit from such!!! I wonder the type of sexual pleasure they get Perverts!

APC To PDP: We Can’t Give Portfolios To Thugs, Mistresses As You Did

All Progressives Congress has expressed confidence in the members of the federal Executive Council, saying they were competent.
The submission followed a statement by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that the portfolios inspired no change.
A statement by the National Secretary of the party, Mallam Mai Mala Buni berated the opposition party, saying it couldn’t have assigned portfolios to thugs and miscreants.
He said “The argument of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) that the portfolios inspired no change was warped and a product of defeat hangover. The PDP should face its rebranding pursuit instead of running down a performing government. APC is not a party which will assign portfolios to miscreants, thugs and mistresses as rampant during the misrule period of PDP.
“The task of rebuilding Nigeria is a responsibility of every citizen. Rather than sit on the fence to find faults, the opposition should join hands with the President to re-fix the nation. President Buhari has what it takes to lead; he is imbued with vision to redirect Nigeria to prosperity but he needs the cooperation of all citizens and groups.”
The party said it had faith in the Ministers to deliver on the promises of the APC government.
According to Buni, the screening and confirmation of the Ministers by the Senate and their inauguration by President Mohammadu Buhari on Wednesday marked th beginning of journey to economic recovery, meaningful democracy, and moral revolution in the country.
He also assured that President Buhari led government would take Nigerians to the promised land.
He said: “The All Progressives Congress(APC) congratulates President Muhammadu Buhari for the inauguration of the new cabinet to effect the desired change which the nation overwhelmingly voted for in March.
“The choice of the ministers and their clearance without any reservations by the Senate attested to the leadership ingenuity of the President. We are happy that every member of the Federal Executive Council is tested and trusted.
“The meticulous assigning of portfolios on Wednesday was also a signal to Nigerians that their electoral investment in our great party and President Buhari was not a waste. We endorse all the portfolios, we have absolute faith in the new ministers and we know that the final hour of redemption is here.
“The party notes that the President’s management of the portfolios has strengthened the nation’s unity, promoted excellence, provided hope for Nigeria’s rebirth and prepared the nation for the future.
“The journey to economic recovery, meaningful democracy, and moral revolution in our great country has started. For the umpteenth time, APC assures Nigerians of its desire to take them to the Promised Land. The APC government will not fail the nation, Buhari will keep his words and salvage Nigeria for the benefit of all.”
Buni noted that the Ministers showed commitment to service by assuming office immediately after oath-taking.
He also charged them to live upto the expectations of Nigerians.
“The unprecedented assumption of duty by the ministers, barely some hours after oath-taking, underscored the determination of the APC administration to offer a qualitative and faster service to the nation.
“APC appeals to the ministers to abide by their oath of office, render selfless service, live up to expectations and write their names in gold. This is a winning team, none of them must fail.
We implore Nigerians, including the increasingly impatient opposition parties, to give the cabinet a breathing space and support it to deliver the dividends of democracy”, he said.
Buni recalled that the economy has been turned around in the last 5 months of Buhari’s administration, stressing that APC would always support the government to fulfil its promises to Nigerians.
“Under five months, President Buhari has saved the country from brinkmanship, plugged loopholes, placed premium on prudence and set a new template for probity and accountability.
“In line with the manifestoes of this party, the President has clearly defined his socio-economic policies. With a little more patience, Nigerians will soon have cause to smile.
“On its part, the APC will continue to support and assist our great President to accomplish his mission”, he said.

Football: Chelsea Star Set To Quit Club In January

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic could leave the club to sign a pre-contract with Italian side Inter Milan in January. Naijaloaded reports.
The 31-year old has yet to sign a new contract and is allowed to speak to only foreign clubs since his deal will expire next summer.
Inter are preparing to make their pre-contract offer in the January transfer window and Ivanovic’s agent Zoran Krneta is not ruling out a potential switch even though he prefers the Serbian international to remain in London.
“Its quite possible that he will renew his contract with Chelsea. The rumors about Inter? In football anything it is possible.” Krneta said.
Ivanovic has had a poor season so far for the Blues and rumors of a transfer exit could be well received by some Chelsea supporters.
